Movie Review
The Fantastic Mr. Fox
I was listening to Wes Anderson being interview recently on NPR. He spoke in detail about what went into this film and that everything in the film was made by hand. I can't recall ever seeing a film like that unless you count the Rankin/Bass holiday TV specials like Rudolph, etc. Anyway, Fox was great. Visually stunning and there are numerous moments in the film when something very subtle happens and you can't help but crack a smile. The photography, art direction and those little sets were a joy to look at. The story was OK, somewhat cliche and I felt the ending rushed itself and felt a bit like a "let's get this thing done already" conclusion. Overall I would recommend it though. It's a very cute, wonderfully photographed tale.
